We move on through life’s challenges in a strange mood that does not make sense: busy, very busy, filling someone’s pockets, and lazy, very lazy, on our social obligations and interactions.
The economic model does not explain, though it’s a tough/rough bone to chew properly, why we let go our most precious emotion of taking care for one another, while pretending the sun shines all year round while we are sunbathing at a wonderful eco-beach.
Being busy, working our neurons to a pulp for a meagre compensation, while getting older and sicker, on the prospect of a late life full of ailments consuming our wisdom and happiness, it’s not what one can say it’s a win-win situation.
Being lazy on a certain number of duties that could improve everybody’s wellbeing, and a de facto leveled society, it’s either a win-win situation too.
And then there’s the evil so many entities do to us all, and to nature as well, because the dumb, or in their payroll, legislators don’t care or know better.
This is not, again, any sort of win-win situation. More of a we win-you pay situation.
At last, the worst case scenario came to be with the birth, the boom and the bam of the tech zenith: an event like a small big bang. But very profitable for so few, with theirs’s unstoppable disclaimer policy taking us back to the wild west wilder times, rather than to a more social and equal society. Though it has been sold on that mantra alone, not really on benefits, nor merits. It’s mentors are still baffled as why nobody stopped them yet, before it’s too late. Meanwhile, theirs’s bonanza, with no obligations nor responsibilities, keeps on track to take them from billionaires to trillionaires, with enough cashflow to buy the world and take it private, again. Who have thought it possible, ever?
There’s a sense we ought to be nice to each because it’s healthier, it makes everybody happier, this could well be the only way to counter capitalism’s toxicity, and lack of emotional empathy, with a proper antidote. That would be the truly win-win situation!
