In several places there are wars destroying lives and future; in another, there is costly pollution, both for nature and for people, poor people; in another, there’s political meddling and wrangling about nothing but self-will; in other places there are politicians legislating about things they do not understanding a thing, nothing at all; and in plain sight there are people developing traps full of craps and making lots of sick money while pretending they are serious and law abiding -of laws that don’t even exist!- citizens preparing their wallets for the biggest IPO ever: to buy the world and turning it into a five people, maximum, pet project.
Somehow, going public is like going into our pockets and, actually, making private what´s public; just because we will let it happen and hope -there’s, always, this fateful verb at hand whenever we don’t believe in the future per se- they will let us, at least, grow our own food in a tiny little plot of land.

Não lhes interessa a história, o saber social, tão pouco a continuidade humana; querem chegar à máquina a todo o custo: a Máquina-Maravilha -entidade superior a qualquer ser humano. Os humanos, por caricato que pareças, são, de facto, os financiadores destes visionários actuais; eu não diria do futuro porque... talvez não haja futuro!

O mundo, apesar da propalada globalização -que chega a todo o lado, é verdade, mas que não é sinónimo, em muitas latitudes, de desenvolvimento e prosperidade- ainda está subdividido em várias realidades que nada tem que ver como o primeiro mundo, desenvolvido, rico e mimado.
Oposto á realidade europeia, americana e oceânica, está o continente africano e boa parte do continente asiático -em especial o oriente médio- vive à beira da catástrofe social em permanência: seja pela pobreza e subdesenvolvimento crónicos, seja pelas lideranças autocráticas ou ditatoriais ou, ainda, por causa de guerra também crónica. E muita da responsabilidade reside no ocidente, nas ex-potências ocupantes, primeiro, e divisionárias depois, e que nada tiveram de visionário como se pode constatar, infelizmente.

And it’s so stupid when they do not bother with recycling or re-using what they sell, because there’s a lot of value in it -especially the gadget industry.
