Há drogas desde os tempos ancestrais. As mais recentes foram as sintéticas. Mas já existe uma nova droga, muito mais disseminada, problemática mas pornograficamente lucrativa e legal, que qualquer uma antes: a droga 'Sin-tech', desenvolvida em laboratórios de Silicon Valley por algoritmos desregulados, mas programados e de donos humanos. E os governos ainda dormem...

There have been drugs since ancient times. The most recent were synthetic ones. But there is already a new drug, much more widespread, problematic but pornographically profitable and legal, than any before: the 'Sin-tech' drug, developed in Silicon Valley laboratories by unregulated algorithms, whose programmers/owners are human. With governments still asleep...

We start with time off amazon -TOA’z, add time off facebook -TOF, add time off google -TOG, add time off apple -TOA’pp, add time off twiter -TOT, add time off instagram -TOI, mix it all up, than let it bake for a while on a tax oven and, when you start to see it bending and wobbling, add time off war -TOW, add time off money -TOM, add a bit of time off computer -TOC, and lastly add time off pollution -TOP, put on any dish of your liking sprinkled with peace of mind, enjoyment, and just watch it with friends and family 'till it matures into a friendly ecosystem... afterwards, just nurture it!

Também não é flor que se cheire no que respeita à violência policial.
Relembro, como exemplo recente, o caso da morte bárbara de um cidadão ucraniano às mãos de polícias do SEF.
E a bonomia do juiz ao decidir não pela prisão preventiva mas domiciliária -ao contrário de Rui Pinto- dos seus presumíveis autores: incrível, a dualidade das decisões.

A SAÚDE MENTAL É FUNDAMENTAL

Andamos há milhares de anos a desprezar a saúde mental. Nunca a compreendemos verdadeiramente. Menos a tratamos consistentemente. Hoje em dia, perante passos ainda tímidos, parecia tudo mais encaminhado para a sua fundamental valorização, compreensão e tratamento adequados. Mas eis que uma pandemia chega, avisada mas desacautelada, e a saúde mental volta ao esquecimento. E ao agravamento. Acrescente-se as eternas teorias da conspiração, e agora em pleno frenesim das redes sociais -ainda pouco, ou mal, estudadas nos malefícios que causam à nossa saúde mental, em particular- as perigosas notícias falsas (fake news) que andam por aí como fungos em climas húmidos, e o potencial para ‘in/afectar’ ainda mais a saúde mental individual é abismal. Mas não esquecer que a sociedade, como um todo, também têm saúde mental. E pelo que vejo está a precisar de assistência médica urgente; antes que seja tarde!

The tragic death of George Floyd is one more stain in police brutality!
I am white and have had a hard life most of my life, but most of black people have a hard life plus all the discrimination associated with their blackness -well beyond belief!
I have been shocked and ashamed of this -impossible to qualify but inhuman- behaviour in the past. I am shocked and ashamed that this behaviour still 'survives' in the present. But I truly hope this will be the turning point: -It's a crime against humanity!
All this while "nothing's new" on Trump's appalling lack of: leadership, kindness, integrity, empathy, honourability, humanity...
P.S. And the discrimination against Women, Children and the Poor!...
